The application process for the exam will begin on 27th April 2023 and the last date for registration is 26th May 2023.
1. The exam will have two papers - Paper I for candidates aspiring to teach classes 1 to 5 (Primary level), and Paper II for candidates aspiring to teach classes 6 to 8 (Junior level).
1. Candidates can apply for both papers if they wish to be considered for both levels.
The minimum educational qualification required to appear for the CTET exam is a senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) degree.
Candidates with a B.Ed degree can also apply for the exam, provided they have completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) programme.
The application fee for one paper is Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/Differently Abled Person candidates. For both papers, the fee is Rs. 1200/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 600/- for SC/ST/Differently Abled Person candidates.
Candidates can pay the application fee through online modes like credit card, debit card, net banking, or through e-challan.
Admit cards for the exam will be released by CBSE in the third week of July 2023, and candidates can download their admit card from the official website of CTET.
