CTET 2023 Exam

- Primary Stage (Class I to V): Candidates should have passed senior secondary or its equivalent exam with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Elementary Stage (Class VI to VIII): Candidates should have passed graduation or its equivalent exam with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) (Special Education).
CTET July 2023 Exam Pattern |
The CTET exam is conducted in two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is for those who want to teach classes I to V, and Paper II is for those who want to teach classes VI to VIII. Both papers have multiple-choice questions, and the exam is conducted for a duration of 2.5 hours.
Paper I:
The Paper I exam has five sections – Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Each section has 30 questions, and the total marks for the exam are 150.
Paper II:
The Paper II exam has four sections – Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science. Candidates can choose between Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science. Each section has 30 questions, and the total marks for the exam are 150.
